You are being invited to take part in a study on what makes dance classes enjoyable. Enjoyment is fundamental tocontinued engagement in physical activity, making it a critical aspect of exercise psychology research. The aim of this study is to enhance understanding of the key determinants of enjoyment of group dance classes. This is a research study that is being completed in fulfillment for an MSc Project that may later be written up for publication in an academic journal. The research has been approved by the University of Westminster, Psychology Ethics Committee.
To take part in this study you must be 18 years of age and have attended group dance classes in person.
The study will involve you giving your consent to take part, answering a series of questions about the dance class you've enjoyed most, providing general details about yourself (eg. age, gender). When you have completed the questionnaire, you will arrive at a debrief page with more information about this study. The questionnaire should take less than 10 minutes. All responses to this questionnaire are anonymous and confidential.

Participation is entirely voluntary, and you have the right to withdraw without giving a reason
Once you have taken part you will be unable to withdraw because this is an anonymous survey and it will not be possible to identify you from your data
If you find a question you do not wish to answer, you may skip that question and move on to the next
Your responses will be confidential, no individuals will be identifiable from any written report or any publications arising from the research
This research is being conducted in accordance with the University of Westminster Code of Practice Governing the Ethical Conduct of Research and the British Psychological Society (BPS) Code of ethics
All data will be securely stored and managed in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the General Data Protection Act 2018
The information you provide may be shared with other members of the research team, supervisors or external examiners
Data collected may be retained in an anonymised archive and reused as part of future research activities
